The lecture „X-rays: Sources and Spectra“ is aimed to explain X-ray origin, their energy spectra (line and continuous), their interactions with matter, radiation attenuation and properties of X-rays important for medical applications.
Sound Waves & Ultrasound Imaging
The presentation explains the general characteristics of sound (wavelength, period, frequency, amplitude, intensity), propagation and attenuation of sound in the environment through which passes, acoustic impedance, the principle of ultrasound imaging, imaging modes (A, B, M, 3D), origin and detection of ultrasound, resolution in ultrasound imaging, biological effects of ultrasound, Doppler effect and its use.

Dental Implantology
The subject Dental Implantology is realized in one course of study of Dentistry at the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava and is finished by 1 ECTS credit at winter semester in the 6th Class.
ORAL and MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY
Study materials from course "Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery" for Dentistry 6th class.
Students are divided in out-patient offices and for assistance in one minor and two major operating rooms. At seminars and consultations actual patients are demonstrated as case reports of various pathology. The patients from in-patient department are also arranged for that purpose.
