
The goal of the lecture is to explain and/or to review the basic physical principles and physical terminology that will be used in the subsequent lectures concerning the subject Medical Biophysics and related subjects and topics that use knowledge of the microworld, and that are necessary for their correct understanding. This concerns, for example, atoms and their nuclei, molecules, sound and ultrasound, electromagnetic spectrum, electromagnetic methods in medicine, methods of microscopy, non-ionising and ionising radiation (light, infrared, and ultraviolet radiation, x-rays, gamma-rays), imaging methods in medicine, principles of therapy and others.
Suitable to all study branches.
