Oral surgery 2

Complete set of topics from course „Oral surgery 2“ , which include 12 hours of lectures in winter semester in the 4th class of study of Dentistry at the Faculty of Medicine Comenius University in Bratislava.                                  

 

Content of the course Oral surgery 2 is divided into five main areas:

  • Surgical extraction (including asymptomatic third molars).
  • Orofacial infection in dentistry (bacteriology, clinical aetiology, ways of spreading, treatmentť, clinical cases).
  • Trismus (definition, main types, therapy).
  • Disorders of salivary glands (division, algorithm of evaluation, sialoadenitis, sialolithiasis, sialoses, symptoms and therapy).
  • Some diagnoses of maxillary sinuses pathology (sinusitis, oroantral communication, symptoms and therapy).
