The International System of Units, SI, is used worldwide as the preferred system of units as the basic language for science, technology... SI is a consistent system of units for use in all aspects of life, including health. SI has been accepted by 59 member states and another 42 associate members of the General Conference worldwide.
The lecture introduces the basic latest regulations (standards) concerning the use of quantities and units, their definitions (valid from 20 May 2019) and valid forms of notation. We recommend it to all authors and reviewers of written works, especially theses, regardless of the study program or specialization.
